You can change your life right now! It doesn’t require days, months or years to plan a change in your life. What you need is just a thought, firm belief and a never dying spirit to keep up to the decision of changing your perspectives and giving your life a new dimension.
People today are filled with anxiety, frustration and pressure in order to handle multiple tasks, relationships-professional as well as personal at the same time. In their busy schedule they find it difficult to balance such multiple roles. Jobs have held them so preoccupied in their work that they are missing out on the basic nature of human behavior. Yes, I am talking about the basic attributes like to love, engage in talks, share views, care for each other, show concern etc. As people are getting busier and busier they are becoming machines, emotionless. They restrict themselves to professionalism and keep limited involvement.
The changing attitudes are giving rise to the most basic tendency of “Expectations.”. Let me quote a few examples-
· A house wife expects her husband to give his family more quality time,
· A working professional expects his family members to understand the work load on him and demand less,
· A girl still expects her boyfriend to talk to her over the phone when he has already told her that he is busy in some important project work and
· Lastly, a child who wants his parents to listen to his talks, play with him and spend more time.
These are some of the most common incidents from an individual’s life that highlight only one thing i.e. “rising expectations”. We cannot boast on others to change their attitude and ways, so it is better that we change ours. So the questions that arise are “how do we deal with such situations?”and “how do I change my life so that it becomes more stable?” The answers to these questions lie nowhere, but inside you. You just need to regain the lost spark.
Following are some of the tips that I feel would help change your life and make it more meaningful:
- Always try your best to be cheerful; no matter what bad phase are you going through. It is because 90% of your life is how you take it. If you feel positive, it would definitely be one and vice versa.
 - Have faith in yourself to face your fears. Fears are nothing but a reason to escape from what we are not ready to face. Take action and they will disappear.
 - Engage yourself in some activities like reading, cooking, gardening, playing some games or it could be anything of your interest. This would keep your mind busy and no negative thoughts can creep in. You would definitely start feeling contented as the days pass by.
 - Think that you can and you will. It is just a state of mind that keeps you away from being happy. Change your thinking!
 - Do meditation as it gives you a chance to discover yourself. Its benefit is supreme bliss and enlightenment apart from health benefits. Half an hour meditation is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. Imagine, for students how helpful this could be!
 - In case of any disputes that arise in your relationships, try to resolve them in a manner that it doesn’t harm anyone’s self respect. Shouting or showing anger is the worst idea of resolving problems. A smile or a hug can do wonders!
 - Expectations reduce joys and surprises bring more joys! Expect less (I am writing less as it is difficult to have zero expectations) and you can see change happening. All the complaints that you have will fade away.
 - Just love your life and take it as the most precious gift that you have ever received.
 - Nothing is permanent, everything is temporary. Whether it is our possessions or relationships. This can be seen at all the levels of life. We cannot stop living if we loose something. Life goes on and so should we.
 - Make people around you happy. Do something that gives them a reason to laugh and forget about their worries. The best thing a person can do in his/her life is putting a smile on everyone’s face that he/she has ever met. Do a good deed everyday!

I hope these ten points will make sense to every reader who reads this and applies them as well. Application is a must! So friends get ready to change your life and set an example for the people who are around you seeking for motivation. Transformation is not difficult.

ReplyDeleteI really liked it, especially the 10 points as prescribed by you. They are very simple and easy yet very effective.
It is very true that now a days due to excessive professionalism people have stopped exploring themselves. But an individual should give as much time to himself/herself to know more about life.
