Dancing Nebula !

There are short-cuts to happiness, and dancing is one of them.

Hi friends!

Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another!!

This blog of mine is dedicated to all those who are passionate about dancing!!

Well all of us have some talents, something for which we have intense enthusiasm and interest, which makes us zealous and at which we are exceptionally good. That is called PASSION and for me it’s ‘Dancing’! To dance is to be out of you. Relaxed, energetic, more beautiful, more powerful, lively and dynamic!!

I am a dance fanatic and can’t resist any kind of music. My feet automatically start tapping to the beats. Dancing is another world to me. Almost two months back from now, I got a chance to dance in a group of 25 people; all my batch mates. What a wonderful experience it was! Everybody was so involved in the fun and excitement, that nobody even realized that it was 10 pm in the night and all of us had to return back to our hostels/homes. We danced like animals; sweating badly, sprinkling water on each other and all this actually happened in our college premises. But we were saved by god’s grace as nobody caught us doing such an insane thing. We had been preparing for our cultural event “Unison 2010” that time and the entire week went on like this-dancing, dancing, dancing and dancing. I really enjoyed it to the core!! What a great event it was with mind-blowing and energetic dance performances.

Well this was one of the experiences that I have had till now. But I was simply thinking what is it that makes me love dancing so much? What is it that I really like about dancing? I never tried to think over the importance of dancing in my life.

“In everyone’s life there are some not-so-good happenings -the times of despair. That is the time, when you find out ways and means to overcome those feelings.”

At such times, people switch over to some means to soothe, calm, and transform them or to gain inner strengths. One such best way is ‘DANCING’. I am the happiest person when I am dancing, either alone or in a group! I take it as fun as it gives me a chance to be with myself. I feel released when I dance. It makes me feel contented, joyful, cheerful and delighted.

So this is what makes it an important part of my life. Here are some more additions to it:-

  1. Most important, dancing makes you enjoy to the core.
  2. It energies and refreshes you.
  3. It is a real stress buster.
  4. It indeed keeps you physically and mentally fit.
  5. It increases your blood circulation.
  6. It tones your body by helping burn that extra flab J
  7. Talking about mental fitness, it helps you forget your worries and tensions at the time you are dancing and later also.
  8. You actually learn to live in the present!
  9. If you dance in a group you discover new friends and feel more connected to them. This helps in building up good relations.
  10. Lastly, it gives you a reason to live, enjoy life, have fun and love yourself!

Well this was my view on dancing. Today, I really feel happy and surprised when I see small kids as well as adults performing immensely well at various dance shows. TV shows like ‘Boogie-Woogie’, ‘Zara-Zara Nach Ke Dikha’, ‘Nach Baliye’ and the latest‘Chak-Dhoom-Dhoom’ have given a boost to this talent. More and more kids and youngsters are learning the art of dancing which was earlier not given much attention.

Schools nation wide are organizing summer camps with special focus on dancing and singing. Though I have performed at various college and school events in the past, but have still not build my expertise in any of the dance forms like Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Salsa, Hip-Hop, Belly dance etc. So I really wish to learn some of them and become a dance instructor some day! Well I believe one should really put one’s heart and soul into refining one’s talent more and more.People have started taking up dancing as there profession which is a good sign for India and soon we Indians will get to see some more great stars emerging out and making our nation outshine!

So what are you waiting for friends; you all could be one of those stars. Just give it a thought!

We all have some great skills, so why not refine them and become a master!!

Happy dancing!!! J

Is Transformation Difficult..?

Truly said by Willie Jolley “It Only Takes A Minute To Change Your Life!”

You can change your life right now! It doesn’t require days, months or years to plan a change in your life. What you need is just a thought, firm belief and a never dying spirit to keep up to the decision of changing your perspectives and giving your life a new dimension.

People today are filled with anxiety, frustration and pressure in order to handle multiple tasks, relationships-professional as well as personal at the same time. In their busy schedule they find it difficult to balance such multiple roles. Jobs have held them so preoccupied in their work that they are missing out on the basic nature of human behavior. Yes, I am talking about the basic attributes like to love, engage in talks, share views, care for each other, show concern etc. As people are getting busier and busier they are becoming machines, emotionless. They restrict themselves to professionalism and keep limited involvement.

The changing attitudes are giving rise to the most basic tendency of “Expectations.”. Let me quote a few examples-

· A house wife expects her husband to give his family more quality time,

· A working professional expects his family members to understand the work load on him and demand less,

· A girl still expects her boyfriend to talk to her over the phone when he has already told her that he is busy in some important project work and

· Lastly, a child who wants his parents to listen to his talks, play with him and spend more time.

These are some of the most common incidents from an individual’s life that highlight only one thing i.e. “rising expectations”. We cannot boast on others to change their attitude and ways, so it is better that we change ours. So the questions that arise are “how do we deal with such situations?”and “how do I change my life so that it becomes more stable?” The answers to these questions lie nowhere, but inside you. You just need to regain the lost spark.

Following are some of the tips that I feel would help change your life and make it more meaningful:

  1. Always try your best to be cheerful; no matter what bad phase are you going through. It is because 90% of your life is how you take it. If you feel positive, it would definitely be one and vice versa.
  2. Have faith in yourself to face your fears. Fears are nothing but a reason to escape from what we are not ready to face. Take action and they will disappear.
  3. Engage yourself in some activities like reading, cooking, gardening, playing some games or it could be anything of your interest. This would keep your mind busy and no negative thoughts can creep in. You would definitely start feeling contented as the days pass by.
  4. Think that you can and you will. It is just a state of mind that keeps you away from being happy. Change your thinking!
  5. Do meditation as it gives you a chance to discover yourself. Its benefit is supreme bliss and enlightenment apart from health benefits. Half an hour meditation is equivalent to 4 hours of sleep. Imagine, for students how helpful this could be!
  6. In case of any disputes that arise in your relationships, try to resolve them in a manner that it doesn’t harm anyone’s self respect. Shouting or showing anger is the worst idea of resolving problems. A smile or a hug can do wonders!
  7. Expectations reduce joys and surprises bring more joys! Expect less (I am writing less as it is difficult to have zero expectations) and you can see change happening. All the complaints that you have will fade away.
  8. Just love your life and take it as the most precious gift that you have ever received.
  9. Nothing is permanent, everything is temporary. Whether it is our possessions or relationships. This can be seen at all the levels of life. We cannot stop living if we loose something. Life goes on and so should we.
  10. Make people around you happy. Do something that gives them a reason to laugh and forget about their worries. The best thing a person can do in his/her life is putting a smile on everyone’s face that he/she has ever met. Do a good deed everyday!

I hope these ten points will make sense to every reader who reads this and applies them as well. Application is a must! So friends get ready to change your life and set an example for the people who are around you seeking for motivation. Transformation is not difficult.

Life is beautiful!
